Chatter Box Predator Decoy
Predator hunting has become popular in recent years as it is necessary for population control. Many farmers must protect their vulnerable wildlife such as domesticated animals, cows, and chickens.
Predators are attracted to rustling leaves or anything that sounds like small prey moving in the underbrush.
Below I will show you how to make a chatterbox decoy that is used to attract predatory animals.
You can set this up underneath small brush piles or in tall grasses.
Supplies
The supplies you will need:
1.) AA Battery x2
2.) 2 AA Battery Holder
3.) 3D Printer
4.) DC Motor with an offset weight (you can make your own weight)
5.) On/Off Switch
You will also need a soldering iron and other general supplies.
Creating Your Housing
First, you will want to 3D print a housing for your motor and battery supply.
Build your box to fit what supplies you have. You can use TinkerCad or another software such as SolidWorks.
Wiring and Assembly
I have included a wiring diagram from TinkerCad and some of the basic components from my design.
Final Assembly
This is the finished product.
Just turn the chatterbox on and strategically place it.
Good Luck!!
