Catapult Game
Me and a classmate made a mini game with my using 3D printing for a class project. With this Instructable you can make your own catapult to strike down a tower (also included). The game can also be made competitive to knock down the other player's tower.
Supplies
-Tinkercad (3D designing website)
-A 3D printer (Some parts may be too big, please print separately or print sideways)
-1.75mm 3D printing filament
-A soft cloth or spongy material
-A rubber band
Base
Create a 92 x 68 x 7 box and place a 86.32 x 60.97 x 7 box with the hole setting inside the other box and as centered as possible [Figure 1 and 2]. This will make the base. Highlight both of them by shift clicking them and clicking the group button [Figure 3].
Add Framing
Create a 68 x 8.5 x 6 box and set it aside [Figure 1]. Create three 3.5 x 8.5 x 37 box, place the ruler against the corner and put two of the boxes 7 ticks away from the corner [Figure 2 and 3]. Now place the box from earlier this step on the other 2 (make sure it's flush)
Support
Make a 3.5 x 8.5 x 310 box [Figure 1] and tilt it 25 degrees. Shrink it back down to 37 mm in height and tilt it back -5 degrees [Figure 2]. Turn it around (180) if you have it facing the direction I do. Turn it -90 degrees [Figure 3]. Place it next to the other boxes [Figure 4] . Place a hole box that covers the access on the bottom (you can make it any size as long as it doesn't leave anything below the workspace and doesn't cut off the frame) and group the box with the hole. Duplicate the piece and place it on the other side and group all of them together [Figure 5]. Upscale the catapult and make it 162 x 98 x 57. Upscale the catapult and make it 162 x 98 x 57 [Figure 6].
Spoon Bowl
Place a sphere that is 71 x 71x 79.11[Figure 1], place a 73 x 73 x 40 cylinder hole 44 mm above and over the sphere and group them together [Figure 2]. Create a 59 x 59 x 59 sphere and place it in the center of the half sphere 8 mm above the workplace and group them together [Figure 3]. Group it for easier downscaling and down scale each side by 50 and the height by 30. Ungroup by using the button next to the group button
Spoon Base
Place a 6x6x60 cylinder and make it horizontal and line it up with the bowl [Figure 1]. Make 4x4x101 hole cylinder and place it in the base of the catapult [Figure 2]. Duplicate the hole cylinder and group one of them to the base and make the other one 3x3x100 and center it [Figure 3]. Make it solid. Duplicate the hole sphere in the bowl to make the ball. Group the bowl, cylinder, and longer cylinder together [Figure 4] and place the other duplicated cylinder and make it solid. Create a 5x5x3 cone [Figure 5,6,7]. Make sure it is are centered and group them. Get the hole sphere and turning it into a solid. Downscale the sphere 2 (all sides) [Figure 8].
Hooks
Crate a 3x9x6 sphere and angle it by 30 degrees [Figure 1]. Turn it into a hole and place it underneath the spoon [Figure 2]. Group then together. Create a 3x6x6 cone and tilt it by 90 degrees [Figure 3]. Now angle it by - 25 degrees [Figure 4]. Duplicate it and place them on the upper frame (to place it on the other side rotate 180 degrees and tilt -50 degrees), group them to the base [Figure 5].
Tumble Tower
Create 9.29 x 8.82 x 74.00 and place a 3 x 3 x 6 cylinder in the center of the box [Figure 1]. Create 4 more of these. Create a 55.72 x 66.12 x 14.18 box. Place 4 of the boxes and cylinders on the edges of the box and delete the boxes (this is to make it accurate). Now make the cylinder go through the box and group the cylinders to the box. Make remaining 5th cylinder solid and make 7 more cylinders and boxes, 4 of these will stay the same and 4 will have the boxes made smaller in height to 38 mm. Now make a 55.72 x 66.12 x 17.85 roof piece. Get one of the small pillars and do the same as before: make 4 more, make the cylinders holes, place in the corners, delete the boxes, and group the cylinders to the roof.
