Casey and Iain's Lego Robot

We built this Robot to fight in an arena. It is remote controlled and very fun to use. Please Enjoy!

These are the parts that you will need. The number of each part is written down next to the part.

The next few steps are about securing the motors.

For this step, you need to use the 2 pieces shown in the previous picture and connect the two 15s.

Next, secure the motors to the two grey pieces, and put one grey piece in the middle to secure them further.

Secure two more 15s to the outside of the motors, and put the two grey pieces on the bottom in the picture on the 15s.

next, add the white piece in the picture to the grey pieces.

Next, add another white piece to the piece in the previous step.

The Battery

These few steps are about securing the battery. This is the "centerpiece", and the main part of the frame.

You are going to need to add the three piece connectors to the grey pieces on either side as seen in the picture.

Then add two more to each of the white pieces in the middle, and then add two of the two piece connectors to the middle pieces.

you are going to connect the four smaller pieces in 2s and connect them to the two 11s.

You are going to connect the two pieces you just put together to the battery pack. add the longer pieces to the outside of the back, and the smaller piece in the middle on the side opposite the orange switch.

Now connect the battery pack to the motors. It does not matter which side, as you will do this again later.

This is the same thing as steps 3 to 9. Just for the other set of wheels.

After this, connect it to the battery pack and the other set of motors.

you are going to connect the two small black pieces to the holes in the grey connector, and connect the grey connector to the holes on the back of the sensor.

Next, make sure that the motors on the same side are connected to the same side of the sensor. This is very important.

Connect the motors to the sensor by side. Stack the second set of motor's cords on top of the other cables. Make sure they are connected well by pushing down on the connection point.

Connect the cable the came from the sensor to the point on the battery pack near the orange switch.

More Support for the Battery Pack

This is an optional step, but reinforces the bot further.

Connect the pieces as shown.

Make sure the small blue connectors are facing inward. Use the next step for reference if needed.

More Rienforcement

Next, add two pieces to the outside of the bot using the blue pieces sticking out, and a small black connector on each side.

The Front Wheels

for the front wheels, connect the wheel and black gear to the stick, with the gear on the inside. The gear is to eradicate the tire rubbing against the bot, and to increase stability. Do this twice.

The Back Wheels

The back wheels require a shorter stick and a longer stick, with a wheel going onto each one. Then connect the two by the small black connector. Do this twice.

Put the sticks with the wheels on them into the holes in the motors. Keep the orange switch on the battery pack in the front (single wheels)

You are done! Make sure that the remote and the sensor are on the same channel. The channels are 1-4, and can be selected on the back of the sensor and the top of the remote.

Iain and Casey's Robot in Action

This is our robot in action. We had a great time making it and using it. Even though we lost this round, it is always a winner in our eyes.
