Hello!

I will show you how to make a cardboard succulent in todays instructable. I have many succulents already but this one is completley maintenance free ( unless you want to water cardboard!) Enjoy!

First you have to make a pot for your succulent. I decided to go with a small pot in a square shape but you can do many shapes and experiment with it. Just cut out and measure out a piece of cardboard that can be folded ( in my case into 4 but it will have to be folded more or less depending on what shape pot you are doing.) The width of the piece of cardboard will be how long or short your pot will turn out. Once you have cut and folded the cardboard piece like in the first picture, just glue it together so you have something like the second picture above.

You now need to cut a shape that will fit inside your pot . You can either measure it or just ajust it untill it fits well. Make sure the shape is relativley close to the top of the pot.

Now you will need to cut out some leaves. I chose to do a succulent but you can do whatever plant you like. To make a simple cactus, you just need to cut several ovals and circles and cut some slits in them so you can put them together like a puzzle.

Now to colour them. I chose to just use a felt tip but you can use paint or whatever you like. I also added some darker green to them to make them look a little more realistic.

Next you have to glue them into the pot. Consider the plant you are copying and try to replicate it as best as possible. I decided that my plant wasnt thick enough at this point so I made more leaves.

And you have finished!
