This is a simple card trick that you can perform without any special gadgets. All you need is a normal deck of cards.

Supplies

1 Deck of playing cards.

Before performing the trick, separate out all four of the kings from the deck, and only 16 cards will be used including the kings.

Arrange the 16 cards by placing the kings as the 3rd, 4th, 9th and 12th card from left to right as shown in the picture.

While facing up, place the remaining deck of cards on top of the prearranged set and shuffle only the top portion, be careful not to mess up the bottom cards. The purpose of this step is to convince the audience the cards have never been tampered, and is not required for the trick to work.

Find a clear surface and lay out the 16 cards row by row from left to right, top to bottom until they form a 4 by 4 grid.

As shown in the picture, flip these specific cards up to form a pattern of a reversed “K”(shown on left). From the audience’s perspective, it should be a normal looking “K”(shown on right).

Now, imagine the whole formation of cards as a piece of rug, and "fold" them along the dash lines shown in the picture until it forms back to a single deck.

Note: while folding, make sure to flip the cards accordingly.

Spread out the cards and notice four of them are facing the opposite direction. Reveal the 4 kings to the audience.
