Trapping a bunny is never easy but with our help you can find out how to make one with just home materials. My group and I did this two times and it \In this instructable we will show you step by step on how to make a bunny trap.

  • After making sure you have all the items you need, you need to take the flat cardboard and place it down in the work environment you're working in.
  • You will then take the box and put it whichever side you want and tape it or glue it down from all the bottom.
  • You will then take the lid that would go in the top and make sure it fits loose.
  • Cut 3 holes in the side where it will be attached in the top of the box where you cut out the lid.
  • Make 3 holes in the side of the box where the lid will be attached.
  • Cut out 3 pieces of yarn (2 inches at least )
  • You will then have someone hold the lid or flat lid so someone else can put the yarn through the three holes of the box and lid. Tie a knot and make sure it's secured.
  •    After that, poke a hole in the center of the lid and get a yarn that will reach a foot long up so it can be attached to the other part of the bunny trap.
  • Tie a knot at the end of the yarn into the hole making sure that it's secure.
  • For the ramp as you can see in the picture it only has to be folded a bit so the bunny still has “support” in the top but will actually fall in.
  • You will only tape the sides so the tape doesn't smooth out the top.
  • The next part is the taller part which you will need to find a flat cardboard that you can cut in half and then fold both of them in half. ( Hotdog style)
  • To secure them tape both of them separately
  • You will need a taller flat cardboard that can be rolled into a cylinder and taped to be secured
  • To secure and put everything together, get a smaller and short box that's 3x4 inches and tape it down into the flat surface at the very end so it's in front of the bigger box.
  • Put both of the same pieces in the sides of the box vertical and tape it to the box
  • You will have to poke a hole with the same pencil on both of them in the top but that's an inch down from the top.
  • Get a pencil and poke a hole in the middle of the cylinder which will now go between both of the pieces.
  • Make sure the pencil is put into all the holes and left there
  • Make two holes in both of the ends of the cylinder
  • The one that's closest to the bigger box will have the string from the lid that's in the middle attached to it
  • The farthest to the back will have a small basket with the weight that's balanced so the lid won't be all the way down but touching the extra part of the ramp
  • To make the small basket just get a smaller box that won't be heavy on the lid.
  • Poke holes in the box so the bunny doesn't suffocate

Now that it's done you can design it anyway you want :)
