Build a Cargo Tool Box From Two Cabinet Doors

After I built my Cargo Bike Rack, I decided I would need a Tool Box to go with it. So I looked around the shop and found a couple of oak frame and panel cabinet doors to use for the sides.

What I Did

I used my router table and a couple of stop blocks to route the grooves along all 4 edges of the back of both doors. Then I glued in a bottom and two end pieces from some scrap plywood so that the space between the sides was just a little wider than my rack. I used another for a sliding top so I could get into the box without untying the rope I use to hold it down. I screwed a couple of cleats to the rack at the front and back of the box to keep it from sliding, and tied it down. And that's about it. Check the pictures for details. Thanks.

Ciao.
