Buff Nails With Paper!
I’m in a bit of a nail phase right now.
A couple weeks ago, I posted my tutorial on how to make nails shiny with Vaseline. That definitely worked, and after a while of applying Vaseline regularly my nails are now really healthy and shinier. But…Vaseline didn’t help smooth out the surface of my nails, and I don’t have a fine grit nail buffer to do that. So here’s a quick tutorial on how to make your nails shine with a piece of paper!
Supplies
- scrap of paper - you can use pretty much any paper, but I’ve found that notebook paper works best for me
- optional nail file - this is for smoothing out any ridges on your nails, but you don’t have to use it.
- patience! This will take some time.
File Away Any Ridges
This is an optional step! But if you have ridges in your nails, paper won’t help to make those go away. Use a rougher grit nail file and file until smooth.
Rub With Paper
Take your piece of paper and rub in circular motions on your nail for about 2-5 minutes. Again, this will take a while to do on all of your nails, so do it while watching TV or listening to an audiobook.
If you want, you could make a nail buffer with paper by gluing paper to a popsicle stick.
Beautiful Results!
As you can see, my nail got a lot shinier after all that rubbing. It doesn’t show up as much in the picture, but if you try it, you can see for yourself how shiny your nails will look! This is a bit of a lengthy process, but the results are well worth it!
