There is not many materials that you will need to make this guitar strap.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Inner Tube
  • Duct Tape
  • Rubber Cement
  • Scissors
  • Sharp Knife (Be Careful!)

Cutting the Inner Tube

First you have to cut your inner tube into one long tube. Then you will have to cut that into three separate strands. You should start at about two inches from the top. You can start with the utility knife until there is a big enough slit to start cutting with the scissor. Make a small slit at the top where you left the two inches.

Braiding!

Before we start braiding, you need to put duct tape on the end of the tube. Now braiding time! Once you have the three strands, lay them out on a table or a flat surface. Take the right strand and put it over the middle strand. The middle strand should become the right strand. Take the left strand and put it over the middle strand. Repeat this process as long as you want.

Tying It All Together

Since you won't be able to get a an end to the braid, you will need to attach a piece of felt with a slit on the end. Use the rubber cement to glue together, and add pressure for a while.

The End!

Once the rubber cement is dry, the strap it ready to be put on the guitar. I hope you enjoyed this invention. Jam on! Thanks!
