Book Clamp - Nice, Useful, Easy

I really read a lot and usually hold the book with one hand. However, in some situations you need your hands free, for example when using cookery books or exercise books at school. I need something that can also keep large books open.

That's why today we're making book clips that will keep almost any book open, and we only need very little to do so.

Clothes peg (the spring of it)

3D printer & and filament according to your liking

plastic glue

(White acrylic paint & brush)

(maybe some sandpaper)

After a few prototypes, I created a beautiful design in book form and drew it with Tinkercad. In order to use as few supports as possible for printing, I split the handles and clamp bodies, we will glue them together later.

Print out two handles and two clamp bodies. All parts can be finished with sandpaper for a beautiful surface.

If you want, you can enhance the paper part of the book with white paint.

Remove the spring from the prepared wooden clothes peg and place it in the new peg as shown in the picture.

Pin the book parts to the bracket. To be on the safe side, you should fix them with plastic glue or superglue.
