In this instructable, I will show you how to make a blow pipe! Blow pipes are fun to use, and they get you outside.

For this instructable you will need:

1) Permanent markers (optional)

2) Hand saw

3) Duct tape

4) Masking tape

5) Tape measure

6) Lighter (or matches)

7) Clouts (the small nails)

8) Jolt heads (bigger nails)

9) Scissors

Cutting the PVC Pipe

Firstly, cut your PVC pipe to 104 cm (41 in) long. To make sure your blowpipe is not bent, look through it. If you can see out the other end, then it is straight. You can decorate your blowpipe with permanent markers and put duct tape on for grip.

The Darts

For the darts, get the nails, scissors, duct tape, masking tape, and your blowpipe. Make sure the nail you chose is smooth so that it will fly faster. Now, put some masking tape around the head end of the nail. After that, put on the duct tape so that it gets wider at the top (putting it on on an angle helps). You can color your darts so that they are easier to find. Then, put the dart (nail first) into the blowpipe, and cut it down to the size of the pipe (so that it slides through the pipe with a small blow).

Melting

Lastly, to melt the darts: using either the lighter or matches, melt the darts on the bottom of the duct tape so that they are melted but not burnt. Then, get your sand (or dirt) and fill the darts with it. After swishing the sand (dirt) around inside the darts, tip it out. Doing this will prevent the middle of the darts sticking together. If you want to make the darts easier to see, and find after 'shooting them', you can paint them.

Now your blowgun and darts are finished! Remember that darts are dangerous, so do not shoot them inside or at people.
