Beef in Puff Pastry With Caper Almond Filling

A nice dinner dish, that is easy to make and something different for a change.

Step 1: Prepare the Filling

This is a quite yummy dish, that can be served with any kind of veg. I like carrots, so I used them ;O)

You'll need:

* Almonds (I used salted ones with skin, and got rid of the skin b4 mixing it - you can also use unsalted ones and add more salt later)

* capers

* fresh garlic OR as used here pickled garlic - if you use fresh garlic, a handful will do

* fresh Yoghurt, about 2tbs (tablespoons)

Now remove the water from the capers! Put everything in a blender

put it all in a bender - BLEND.

Step 2: Prepare Your Meat, Layer and Fold

To keep your meat nice and moist, you want to quickly fry all sides in a pan.

Then put 2tbs of your filling in the middle of your puff pastry squares, put the meat on it and add a little more filling on top.

Now fold all ends together at the top, forming a little bag.

Add some egg on top of the pastry. Pop it all in the oven and cook for about 30mins (medium) or up to 40mins to have it well done, I suppose about 20mins for rare-ish, make sure the pastry is done though - in a preheated oven at 200°C/390°F

Final Step: Take Out and Enjoy!

Once done, just take them out of the oven carefully, add your veggies and ENJOY!
I hope you like it as well!

We certainly did ;O)
