Beary Scary Rice Krispie Treats have dead bears, tombstones, and even ghosts!!! Follow these instructions to make this yummy treat.
Obtain the Ingredients
To create the Beary Scary rice krispie treats you will need the following:
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1 package(10 oz or 40) Jet-Puffed Marshmallows or 6 cups of Jet-Puffed Miniature Marshmallows (I found that this brand is easiest to melt, but other brands will work just as well)
- 6 cups of Kellogg's Rice Krispies® cereal or some other brand
- Red, Blue, Green, & Yellow food coloring
- Gummy Bears
- Gummy Worms
- Lollipops
- Tissue paper
- Airheads
- 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan
- Saucepan
- Mixing spoon
Mix Food Coloring
First of all, get out the food coloring and a bowl. In the bowl, squeeze the red food coloring container for five seconds, then the yellow for five seconds, then the green for two seconds. For a final touch of color, put one droplet of blue food coloring. That should get you a chocolate brown color.
Melt the Marshmallows & Add the Food Coloring
Next, melt the butter over low heat in a large saucepan. Add the marshmallows, and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add the food coloring that you have mixed. Stir continuously while doing this.
Add the Cereal & Gummies
Now, pour three cups in of the cereal, then add the gummy bears and gummy worms while stirring. Then pour two and a half more cups of the cereal and stir.
Finishing the Mix
Now grease the bottom of a pan, preferably a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Then using a spatula, pour the mixture into the pan.
Flattening It Out
Next, put wax paper over the pan, then use your fist to flatten it out.
Do not punch too hard, or you might squish the gummy bears.
Add the Decoration
Now, cover the lollipops with toilet paper; cut the airheads in the shape of a tombstone, then place them on the rice krispies.
Cut & Enjoy
Finally, cut the squares and enjoy your Beary Rice Krispie treats. This tasty treat is easy to make and is great for parties. If you want to give trick-or-treaters something unique to eat, this is the right treat to make.
