Battery Tool Caddy/tote

I live on a 4 acre property and one of the most frustrating things is to go down to a job and have to return as you have forgotten a tool

I had bought a whole bunch of battery tools during lockdown and would like to keep them together and handy

So I'm going to need a tote

This was made from Scrap ply I had lying around, some was from a neighbour as he is building a new house most of the rest was skip finds

So the tools I bought were a set from Bunnings 5 tools a drill, a driver, a grinder, a circular saw and a sander

I also bought extra batteries and obviously it came with a charger

It wasn't an expensive set but is of decent quality

Firstly I laid them out on a piece of 6mm ply to see how much space I needed

I drew around them with a permanent marker and cut the slots and holes out

I also made sure that there were sufficient holes for accessories (sanding bag attachment/grinder tool/circ saw width gauge) and that they all fitted snugly and securely

I built a box around the base using some 12mm ply and put a bottom on it

The end pieces had a hole drilled to accept a rope handle and one end had a hole for the charger electric cord

Figured it would look better with a lick of paint

Here you can see the rope handle and also the block that supports the grinder

And there it is , done

Convenient to carry down the paddock or put in the back of the car
