Basketball Catapult Game
Ever played Mini Catapult? it get boring fast because you are playing by yourself and there is little to no competitive factor. We (Alex & Lance) decided to put our spin on the game to make is a more entertaining to watch. It's quite easy to make. Here's How.
Supplies
For this project you will need the following:
- # Popsicle Sticks
- Big piece of cardboard (#x#)
- plexiglass
- Ply Wood (#x#)
- 1 Big tape roll or 2 thing tape rolls
- Elastics
Creating the Catapult
First stack 4 popsicle sticks on top of each other and tie with elastics as shown in the image above

Then take to other two popsicle sticks and tie one end with elastics, spread out the other end and stack of 4 in it. Lastly attach a spoon to it. Do this twice and you have your two launchers.
Creating Floorboard
Cut a 15x20 in cardboard
Making Glass
Cut a 14.5x13in plexiglass. File glass to make it smooth.
Making Hoops
Carefully cut a big empty tape roll down the middle, or get two small ones.
Netting the Hoop
Get string, and glue it crossing each other. keep going until satisfied
Making Outside Walls
Cut 4 20 in thin ply wood, and 8 6 in. put 2 plywood along 2 opposite sides of the long cardboard sides. then put 1 ply wood on each side. next take the 6 in and put one on each corner, then put 1 on each of them.
Putting Things Together
draw your basketball design then glue the catapult in the middle and opposite side of the board. as shown up above.
Putting on the Glass
Cut 4 wood rectangles 1x3 in. cut it out. put glass in the middle and measure were to put the wooden blocks. Slide Glass in.
