Barbie´s Lamp With Real Light

IMG_5076.JPG

If you follow my instructable's account you know I make a lot of things for Barbie.

This lady is always wanting new stuff (such a material girl) and her accessories are very expensive. So I have to make lots of things for her house and her wardrobe. Today I'm going to show you how to upcycle several materials to make a beautiful lamp.

This is a good project to make with a girl, just help her with the hot glue. She will have fun, learn to upcycle and she´ll be so happy she made something that looks better than the ones at the store, and it actually works. (with beautiful color changing light)

 Gather Your Materials

A tomato container

A cake candle holder with led light. I like the number zero.

Beads shaped as a lightbulb. I found these in the dollar store

Scissors

Glue gun

Cut

First of all you have to cut the bottom part of the container. This is going to be our lamp shade.

Glue

Now glue the lightbulb bead to the top of the candle holder.

If you can't find this beads you can skip this step and it won't matter. Or you can make one with air dry clay or Polymer clay.

Glue

Finally glue the lamp shade to the top of the lightbulb

Make Something Else.

Make more stuff for Barbie with the rest of the container.

You can cut another part of the container to make a beautiful clear bowl. I drew the shape I cut with a red marker, so you can see it in the picture, it's hard to take pictures of clear stuff.

Do you like her table? You can make one with cardstock, just download my template and follow the instructions on this instructable.

You can feel it with Barbie's friut, or decorations, like more beads, little plastic flowers or even confetti. If you want to see more Barbie's DIYs (perfect to keep girls busy during summer vacation) visit my blog and follow my instructables account.
