Baked Chicken Cordon Bleu

If you're like me then you love food. If you like to try new recipes the i got one for you. I learned how to cook this meal in 8th grade Home-Economics class and it's something I find very easy to cook and teach others.

Equipment:

Access to a Kitchen

3 separate bowls

A mallet

Oven Pan

A whisk

A Ziploc bag

Oven mitts

A cutting board

Supplies

3 Chicken Breasts

6 slices of Cheese

6 slices Deli Ham

1 c. all purpose flour

2 large eggs(Beaten)

2 c. of panko bread crumbs

Pepper/Salt

Prep

- Open chicken breast as much with your hands

- Pound chicken with a mallet or anything that can flatten the chicken

- Before pounding the chicken, Put it in a bag so it limits the mess

Layer of Chicken

- Once chicken is flattened, take it out of the bag then lay it on the cutting board

-Take 2 slices of ham, and lay it flat on top of the chicken

- Followed by 2 slices of cheese

Roll Up Chicken

Once the cheese and ham are on the chicken, roll it up nice and tight

Optional: Put toothpicks in to secure everything in place

Bread Chicken

- Get 3 bowls and put 1 cup of flour in one bowl, 2 beaten eggs in another, then 2 cups of pancko bread crumbs

-Mix 1/2 teaspoon of salt/pepper in the bowl of bread crumbs

-Dip chicken in flour, eggs and breadcrumbs in that exact order

Bake/Cook Time

Preheat oven and set heat to 400 degrees

Once chicken is breaded, lay all breaded chicken on oven pan

Once oven is heated up to 400 degrees, place chicken in oven and cook for 35 minutes

Make sure oven mitts are on so you do not burn yourself putting it in

Final Product

Once cooked, Remove with oven mitts so you do not burn your hands

Dish meal on a plate and add your favorite side to it

In this case I added rice because who doesn't like rice and chicken.
