Asian Chicken & Sides

Creating dinner can be a daunting task, but this creative meal sneaks in veggies while having a appealing taste. With a rainbow of colors this magazine worthy dish serves you and your family without tasting all that bad.

Ingredients

  1. Purple Cabbage
  2. Rice
  3. Rice Vinegar
  4. Tea
  5. Chicken Drum Sticks
  6. Soy Sauce
  7. Teriyaki Sauce
  8. Honey
  9. Shredded Carrots
  10. Sesame Seeds

Soy Chicken

The ingredients you need for this step are:
  • Chicken Drumsticks
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/8 cup Teriyaki Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  1. Preheat the oven to 450
  2. Prepare the Marinade by mixing the Soy Sauce, Teriyaki Sauce, Water and Honey into a bowl
  3. Place the Chicken Drumsticks into the marinade
  4. Cover the marinade and the chicken in plastic wrap and place in a refrigerator for 30 minutes
  5. After 30 minutes place on an oiled baking sheet and drizzle with honey and sprinkle with sesame seeds
  6. Cook the chicken for about an hour or until done (juices run clear no pink or red meat)
  7. Once the chicken is done cover it in teriyaki and soy sauce

Brussel Sprouts and Slaw

Brussels Sprouts

  1. Cut the sprouts in half
  2. Place in an oiled pan and cook until they are brown on both sides

Slaw

Ingredients you need are:

  • Purple Cabbage
  • Shredded Carrots
  • Rice Vinegar
  • Sesame Seeds

  1. Chop the cabbage into thin strips
  2. Add carrots and cabbage into a bowl
  3. Drizzle with 3 tbsp of rice vinegar
  4. Sprinkle with sesame seeds

Rice

The ingredients you need are

  • Rice
  • Tea Bag
  • Water

  1. Fill a pot with water and let it boil
  2. Add rice and later add teabag to water
  3. Let it boil for 10-20 minutes
  4. Then drain the tea from the rice
