Aros Horrocrux
Hoops inspired by the Harry Potter Horcrux, for any fan!
Supplies
We need a silver supplies silver plate:
1.- Silver foil 1mm
2.- Silver Wire Ø1.2 mm
3.- Silver Welding
4.- Third hand support
5.- Pliers
6.- Jewelry clasps
7.- Closing arcs
8.- Blowtorch
First we will make the drawing of the triangles, in the silver sheet, and cut with the jewelry clasp, with a 2mm clasp
Second, with the flat pliers, and the Ø 2mm wire, a triangle will be made with the shape of the inner edge, from what we cut out of the silver sheet. In addition, a circle, which can enter the same triangle that we have just made with wire. Finally, a wire is cut that vertically crosses the triangle through the center
Test the pieces, that they fit inside the cutout triangle and that they meet at the ends, that they are not separated or the intended shape will not be achieved
Before welding the pieces, the pieces must be washed, so that the welding runs through the structure that we have made, otherwise the pieces will not be joined. To carry out the welding, the third hand is used, so the pieces do not move when heating with the torch.
Below, they must take the time, do not direct the flame towards the piece, or it can overheat and melt. When the flux takes a brown color, pieces of low solder are placed, so that it melts at low temperature, and wait for it to run everywhere, under the pieces of wire. Finish, adding a ring to place the supports of the hoops.
The termination of the piece is a choice. In this case I made a simple polish, and I dyed it with antique, so that both pieces contrast. It is not necessary that you make the hoop support, they can be bought in stores, with different shapes of your choice.
