Hi, this is an "anti-electric-shock wrist watch" I made with cardboard and a few electronics (mostly the basic stuffs). If you think this is worth your time, let's dive into the topic: The Making of the Anti-Electric Shock Wrist watch.

Just before starting, what was the inspiration? Well, if you've got a couple of electric shocks before as a result of being ignorant of a live connection, you'll almost always want to be sure of safety at other times, so, a safety gadget to be sure I'm not getting shocked again is what I need.

Moreover, for electronics hobbyists, a portable, almost unobstrusive device like this may offer additional safety measures against accidental contacts with dangerous live connections.

So, how is this different from the regular "wireless/non contact voltage detector" all over the internet? Simple, most of them have a very small range of operation, say, a few millimetres, plus, they have to be held in the hand during usage, preventing users from doing other things at the same time.
With this device, it only has to be mounted on the wrist and then you continue your work, while it is busy sniffing out dangerous AC lines for you and also, with a relatively long range of operation (10 to 12 cm), you get warned early enough to withdraw your hands from potential hazards.
