Animated Bloody Decapitated Doll

Halloween projects can be challenging and fun to work on. For this Instructable, I decided I was going to try to create a decapitated bloody doll from a Christmas animated angel doll. I wasn't sure how it would work out. Could we get the head off? How could she hold on to her head? Could she somehow hold a bloody knife? I just started creating and here is the result!

When her hair is pulled up, there is a screw at the back of her head. Remove the screw with the Phillip's screwdriver, then use the screwdriver to pry her head off!!

Placing the Head

The doll holds a light up candle. That will be the perfect place to put her head. With her head placed over and onto the candle, it looks like she is holding her head. We tried plugging her in and decided we liked the way it looked better without the candle bulb so we removed it. Here you can see how she looked with the bulb lighting her head and with the bulb removed.

Mix the Paint

In the small measuring cup, add some of the dark red paint. Add a little black paint and stir. Add bright red to make it less dark, if desired. You can thin the acrylic paint with a little water so it is just thin enough to pour.

Be Brave!!!! Spill That Blood!

Using the measuring cup containing the "blood", pour a little over her neckline, her fingers and her dress.

Make the Knife Bloody

Pour a little bloody paint onto the tip of the knife. Spread it just a little, then allow it to dry completely. Wind the rubber band on the knife where her hand will hold it.

Add the Knife to Her Hand

Use the rubber band to attach and position the knife in her hand.
