Add MC Server to FireWall

1. Type "wf.msc" into the search bar in left of the taskbar.

Alt. Go to Control Panel, open Windows (Defender) Firewall and selected Advanced Settings from the menu on the left

Next Choose Inbound Rules

1. Select Inbound Rules. Note you will be following the same steps for outbound rules.

Select New Rule

1. Select New Rule and a window will pop up with some available options four our new rule.

Choose the Kind of Rule We Are Using

1. Select Program

2. Select Next

Choose What Kind of Program

1. Select to use a specific program

2. Browse for the program. The computer doesn't know what program you want to make the exception for, so we will need to tell it. This can be a bit tricky if you are not familiar with how to browse for a program. You can find where the program is running from by right-clicking on the shortcut you use to open the program and select to go to file location to find where it is hiding at.

3. Select Next

Choose Kind of Connection Allowed

1. Choose "Allow Connection"

2. Select Next

Make Sure All Options Are Checked

1. Select Next

Name That Rule!

1. Name the rule Minecraft Server. Name doesn't matter, but make it something you will remember

2. Select Next

Allowing Certain Ports

1. Follow the instructions for making a new inbound rule, but this time choose "Port" instead of "Program"

2. Select Next

Choose Port Settings

1. Make sure TCP is checked

2. Select use a "specific port"

3. Put in the port number you are using, default port is pictured "25565"

4. Select Next

Let It Fly

1. Select to "Allow Connection"

2. Select Next

Name That Rule... Again!

1. Name it something you will remember, the example above is what I used.

OutBound Rules

OutBound Rules are exactly the same as inbound rules in how they are setup. So select Outbound, then New Rule on the right, and follow the instructable from top to bottom again.
