Acrylic Book Display
I recently published a book and was looking for a way to display it in my office. After failing to find anything online that I liked, I decided to spend less than 30 minutes in my workshop designing my own acrylic book display! You can do this very easily to display your own book or your favorite book in your home, office, or child's bedroom! Mine is standing on a shelf, but with a few command strips, you could easily mount this to a wall. For anyone interested, my book is available here.

Tape the 2 Sheets Together
First, I used painters tape to secure 2 sheets of the plexi together as shown here. This also provides protection in the corners when drilling the holes for the screws.
Layout Your Holes and Drill
Next, I used an old corner brace as a guide/template to drill the four corners evenly as shown here. You can use any 90-degree scrap wood or metal to accomplish the same. You can also use a hand drill, just be very careful to go slowly as to not split or crack the acrylic sheets.
Dry Fit and Be Careful of Scratches
After drilling, I removed the protective layer of plastic. BE CAREFUL to reduce fingerprints and scratching. As you can see, I put down an old (clean) t-shirt to prevent scratching the acrylic. Here you can dry-fit the book to get the appearance you're looking for.
Insert Screws and Enjoy
Finally, I used the screws, washers, and nuts as shown to secure the corners. This will squeeze the book, easily holding it in place. The acrylic will bow, making for an easy-to-display book stand. You can also attach command strips to the back if you'd like to hang on a wall. I simply hand-tightened the screws. You don't need much pressure for this great look!
