A Keychain With Customizable Text!
Hello and welcome to this project! Today, we'll be making a keychain with text that you can customize! It can be made by anyone. A gentle reminder to make the project responsibly and with proper care. While making this project, proper measures must be taken. This project provides only a design for the keychain. It is not meant to be made commercially. Having said that, let's get started!
Supplies
There aren't many supplies required for this project. You would just need a 3D designing software to edit the project, like Autodesk Tinkercad.
Creating the Keychain's Base
For creating the keychain's base, follow the given steps:
- Click on the box option in the 'Basic Shapes' tab.
- Now, we must resize the base to provide space for the text.
- The following measurements are recommended:
- Length: 20
- Width: 20
- Height: 20
- You can input the above measurements in the box, or increase the height to 9 and the width to 80 in the workspace, as shown in the image.
- Finally, you can choose any colour you want, by clicking on the 'Solid' option, as shown in the image.
Adding the Text
For adding the text, follow the given steps:
- Click on the 'Text' option from the 'Basic Shapes' tab.
- Now we need to rotate the text to give the keychain a 3D finish. We need to rotate it in the order shown in the images:
- From the left, rotate the text to -90 degrees.
- Now, rotate the text forwards, as shown in the image, to 90 degrees.
- Finally, rotate the text to -90 degrees towards the left side.
- Next, we move the text upwards as shown in the image.
- Finally, you can customize the text by clicking on the 'Text' box. You can also change the color of the text by clicking on the 'Solid' option.
Adding the Circle
For adding the circle in the keychain, follow the given steps:
- Click on the 'Tube' option in the 'Basic Shapes' tab.
- Move the circle, using the 'up' option (which is an upwards arrow in the workspace) or drag the circle, to make it coincide with the base and text, to complete the keychain.
- The recommended measurements are as shown in the image, with the radius being 10.
- Finally, we can change the color of the circle by clicking on the 'Solid' option.
Completing the Keychain
Just a few more steps!
- Select all the three shapes and then click on the 'Group' option, as shown in the image.
- Once again, you can choose any color from the 'Solid' option.
- If you want different colors, don't group the three shapes.
Congratulations! You have successfully completed the project! I hope that you liked to make this keychain!
