5 Steps to Simple and Tasty Homemade Spaghetti Meat Sauce

We used to buy spaghetti sauce in the jar for quick pasta meals. But in trying to avoid sugar and other non-essential ingredients, we decided to try making our own version that was basic on ingredients and big on taste. This receipe takes about 30 minutes, start to finish. Of course, the longer you let this dish simmer, the better it tastes, but you get a good dish after half an hour!

You can also freeze and enjoy later at home, or on a camping trip!

1 32 ounce can of crushed tomatoes

onion (1/2 cup diced)

garlic - 1-2 cloves, minced

Olive oil

balsamic vinegar

Add your ground meat and cook thoroughly, breaking up the meat into a fine texture. Add about 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar, and continue cooking until meat is thoroughly browned.

Add Crushed Tomatoes and Seasoning

Pour in your crushed tomatoes, and add your seasonings to taste.

Cover and Simmer

Cover and let simmer over medium low heat, stirring occasionally, for at least 30 minutes. If you can hold out for an hour, it's even better!
