I was excited when I came up with the idea to make felt cat toys! In total, it took me about an hour and a half to make both cat toys. I hope you enjoy this Instructable!

I started by making a template that I could cut out and use as a pattern. Then, on one side of the fish I drew the outline of the fish bones.

After threading the needle, I started to embroider the fish. Only do this on one piece of felt. Follow the pictures to learn how to the stitch.

Next, place the two sides together. Using the same stitch, sew the two pieces together. Once I finished sewing the tail, I stuffed it with the fluff before finishing the rest. Remember to leave a small opening to add the fluff. If you are adding catnip, now is the time to add it. Sew the opening closed.

The Dinosaur!

I started my drawing out a dinosaur template. Then I cut the body out green felt.

When cutting the spikes, I made it so it would be one piece instead of individual triangles. I continued on by cutting circles for the eyes and a small heart.

When sewing on the eyes and heart, I sewed a cross in the middle of them. When attaching the spikes, I used sewing pins to keep it in place.

I sewed the dinosaur together using the running stitch. Leave a small opening and stuff it with fluff. If you are adding catnip, add it now. Sew up the opening and you are done.
