10-minute Midnight Pizza

This is my favorite snack ever because it's so tasty and super versatile. In the mood for something spicy? Add some pepper. Need more protein? Add chopped deli meat. The possibilities are endless. The fact that this recipe takes less than 10 minutes from start to finish? Even better.

You need:
2 slices of bread (any kind your heart desires. I used wheat sandwich bread)
Olive Oil (Or tomato sauce. Or pesto. Whatever you want)
Shredded Cheese (Again, anything works. I used a blend of provolone and mozzarella)
Toppings-I used banana peppers and sun-dried tomatoes. Mushrooms, chopped deli meat, bell peppers, olives and onions,  also work well
Seasoning- I used red pepper flakes and Italian seasoning. Use what you like.

Toast the Bread

Put the bread in the toaster and toast it.

This step keeps the bread from getting soggy when you put the oil/sauce on it.

Put the bread on a foil-lined baking sheet. This eliminates the need to scrape off baked-on cheese.

Next, brush on olive oil or spoon on sauce.

Add the Toppings

Add the cheese first, then whatever toppings you have chosen.

For the toppings, make sure they are either pre-cooked or okay to eat raw, because they won't be cooked, only heated. Chop them up well before putting them on your pizzas.

Add any seasonings you want

Bake

Put your pizzas in the broiler on high for about 4 minutes, or until the cheese gets all melty and delicious. Be careful though, broilers can make food go from delicious to burnt-beyond-recognition frighteningly quickly. So keep an eye on it!

Enjoy!

Enjoy your delicious pizza!

On the first pizzas, I have banana peppers and sun-dried tomatoes. I also added deli ham to the second pizzas.
