This is an easy, green and fast project: a spice rack made from an old drawer, rustic and portable! What you need: an old drawer, a scrap of flat wood (big enough to make two shelf), some strong nails, hammer, pencil, jig saw, san paper and ruler.

MARK YOUR WOOD

Draw on you piece of wood the measurement for two shelf.

CUT THE WOOD

Carefully cut the wood with the jig saw.

SANDING

Sand a bit the edges you cut.

MARK

Mark the lines where you want the shelf to go. I measured my spices jar to decide where to make them.

HAMMER THE NAILS

Hammer some nails along the lines you made, where the shelf are going to lay.

Hammer more nails on the other side too.

PLACE THE SHELF

Place the shelf on top of the nails.

FILL UP

You are done! Fill up the spice rack.

If you used a nice sturdy drawer, you don't even need to secure it to the wall. You can just lay it on your kitchen furniture plane, against the wall.
