{ BANANA OATS COOKIES }
If you have bananas that you don't know what to do with or that are too ripe to be eaten normally, don't throw them away! They can be used as a base for tasty cookies that require very few ingredients, only oats, honey and chocolate!
Perfect to avoid waste and eat tasty light cookies with ingredients that are healthy, simple and easy to find in the kitchen!
But don't worry, thanks to the honey as well as the oats, the cookie won't taste so much like a banana, but instead a good taste from the mixture of all the ingredients!
[ S U P P L I E S ]
( 1 ) Ripe or over-ripe* bananas
( 2 ) Oat flakes
( 3 ) Honey
( 4 ) Chocolate
( 5 ) Kitchen scale
( 6 ) Salad Bowl
( 7 ) Cutlery
This recipe for 40 cookies requires :
> 4 bananas
> 250 grams (8.81 ounces) of oat flakes
> 2 tablespoons of honey
> 4 squares of chocolate
If you want to cook less, for example 20 cookies just divide the recipe by 2: 2 bananas, 125 grams of oats (4.40 ounces), 1 spoonful of honey and 2 squares of chocolate! You can use any type of chocolate of your choice, for my part I chose to use dark chocolate (for me) and milk chocolate (for my boyfriend) because we always share these cookies but we don't have the same tastes.
(* the soft texture of over-ripe bananas (but not too ripe either, they should still be quite white and not too liquid) is an asset to reduce it to banana dough and especially save them from the kitchen trash while they are still edible!)
[ Banana Oats Blend ]
( 1 ) Remove the peel from the bananas and place them in your salad bowl.
( 2 ) Then with a fork, squeeze them to obtain a kind of dough.
( 3 ) If you have a blender or mixer, you can also use it to mash the bananas.
( 4 ) Then weigh and pour the right amount of oats into a bowl.
[ Cookie Dough Preparation ]
( 5 ) Add the oats to the salad bowl on top of the banana dough.
( 6 ) Then pour the tablespoon of honey over the oat flakes and the banana puree.
( 7 ) Mix all the ingredients well by hand* to make the banana oat cookie dough.
( 8 ) Select the chocolate of your choice.
(* If touching the dough with your hands bothers you, don't hesitate to put on gloves or use a kitchen robot, but in any case remember to keep your hands clean before touching the food!)
[ Chocolate Chips & Baking Trays ]
( 9 ) Use the fork's prickle to reduce your chocolate into chocolate chips.
( 10 ) Continue until you get small chips of different sizes.
( 11 ) Then take your baking trays and cover them with baking paper.
( 12 ) Then knead with you hands* the banana-oatmeal-honey cookie dough into small balls.
(* Make sure your hands are clean before touching the food or put on gloves!)
[ Shaping & Baking ]
( 13 ) Place the ball of the cookie dough on the baking sheet and flatten it with your fingers.
( 14 ) Continue to form flat rounds, making sure to space them well apart.
( 15 ) Inlay the chocolate chips on the dough by placing them on top and pressing them down, making sure to distribute them evenly over all cookies (about 3 to 5 chocolate chips per cookie).
( 16 ) Place the cookies in the oven for 15 minutes (or 25 if you want them crunchier) at a temperature of 180°C (350°F) on rotating heat mode.

Once the baking is finished take out the baking trays and let your cookies cool down a bit! That's it, all you have to do is enjoy your yummy, zero waste and quick to make banana and oats cookies! You can also add pieces of peanuts for extra crunch!
